The North Wales Chinese School was founded in 1988 at Bangor by Mr. Andrew Lui (owner of Garden Hotel, Bangor) and Mr Harry Kong (owner of the Jade Village Restaurant, Menai Bridge). The aim of the School is to promote Chinese culture. We teach anyone regardless of their age, cultural background and the most important thing is that they have the desire to learn. The school itself is always self-funded, the source of finance mainly comes from donations and fundraisings, this is without any help from the local Authority.

Mr. Lui's first task of his new appointment as Headmaster is to establish adult mandarin classes. Due to the China’s vast growth in its economy in the last ten years, the Chinese language has become one of the most popular languages for economic and cultural reasons. We aim to enrich the quality of life with Chinese heritage for our children, to provide an opportunity to learn about the Chinese language and culture for the local people and above all, to enhance a multi-cultural understanding and diversity throughout our communities.

北威爾斯中文學校於1988年在班戈由 Andrew Lui 先生（班戈花園酒店業主）和 Harry Kong 先生（玉井村餐廳業主，梅奈橋）成立。學校的目的是促進中國文化。我們教任何人，不論他們的年齡，文化背景，最重要的是他們有學習的願望。學校本身始終是自我資助的，金融的來源主要來自捐贈和籌款，這是沒有地方當局的任何幫助。

盧先生的新任命為校長的第一項任務是建立成人普通話班。由於中國在過去十年中經濟的巨大發展，中文語言已成為經濟和文化原因最受歡迎的語言之一。我們旨在為我們的孩子豐富中國傳統的生活質量，為當地人民提供一個了解中國語言和文化的機會，尤其是提高我們社區的多元文化理解和多樣性
